About The Girl at the Fruit Stand
SYNOPSIS | The Girl at The Fruit Stand is a modern retelling of the classic Cinderella story, following Xochitl, a humble Mexican-American street fruit vendor in Los Angeles. Her life is suddenly turned upside down when a successful film director Andrew Goldblum is presented with a challenge from his career rival. The bet tests Xochitl’s ability to navigate a world far from her own, with the unlikely assistance of the studio’s powerful ‘fixer’, Jenna, who seems to be her complete opposite. What follows is a collision of cultures, the forging of unexpected friendships and rivalries, romance, and improbable bonds that defy all the odds.
